What we do
We handle claims against vehicle manufacturers under state lemon laws and the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. In practice that means:
- reading repair orders, purchase or lease contracts and warranty terms against the tests in your state's law,
- sending the written notice your state may require and setting up the manufacturer's final repair attempt,
- negotiating with the manufacturer,
- handling state or manufacturer dispute programs, or a lawsuit, when that is the right route.
We also publish this site. Each legal statement is tied to a statute, a regulation or an official agency publication, and each page lists its sources. Our editorial policy explains how we write and check it.
How we talk about results
We don't guarantee results and we don't publish predictions about what a case is worth. Every vehicle, contract and repair history is different, and past outcomes don't predict future ones. When we look at your file, we tell you what we see, including when we don't think there is a claim.
Where we work
Our principal office is in Dallas, Texas. Lemon law cases run on paperwork, so most of our work happens by phone, email and e-signature. You can send photos of your documents from your phone. Lawyers may practice only where they are licensed or otherwise authorized, so before you sign anything we tell you which lawyer would handle your case and where that lawyer is licensed.

Frequently asked questions
Is SkyRidge Law a law firm?
Yes. SkyRidge Law P.C. is a law firm. Legal services are provided only under a written fee agreement. Our responsible attorney, Gregory R. Jacobs, is licensed in Texas (State Bar of Texas No. 10517300), and you can confirm his license on the State Bar of Texas Find a Lawyer search.
Do you take cases outside Texas?
We review lemon law questions from every state. Lawyers may practice only where they are licensed or otherwise authorized, and lemon laws differ from state to state. Before you sign anything, we tell you which lawyer would handle your case and where that lawyer is licensed.
Are your lawyers certified in lemon law?
We don't use specialty titles. State bar rules limit claims of certification or special expertise, so we describe what we do instead: we review repair histories and handle claims against vehicle manufacturers under state lemon laws and federal warranty law.
Do I have to come to your office?
No. Most of our work happens by phone, email and e-signature. You can photograph your repair orders and contract and send them from your phone.
